‘When It’s Raining’ is the new single from indie pop band Borderline. It’s an instantly addictive track, with the thump of the piano left hand contrasting the groovy funk of the right, creating a tense energy imbued with a offbeat danceability. The vocals are defined by an effortless ability to find a hook no matter where it’s placed. On the accompanying video, director Tom Grut says: “It is always a pleasure collaborating with the boys. I was particularly excited about taking the bright colourful world we'd built with heartbeat and completely rejecting it with this song, really grounding it and showing off more gritty mature direction in which they're heading.” The band are playing their first North American shows in March. -Dan Peeke
